Nomads 08
And Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." And He said to another, "Follow Me." - Luke 9:58, 59
Thousands of years ago, God called Abraham to leave all security - his home, his country, his family, his land - and go to a place he'd never been. God still calls his people to become nomads, to embrace the faith of Abraham, and go wherever he leads.
But are we willing to go where He goes? Are we willing to go with Him to the unlovely, the broken, the desparate?
Being a nomad is about giving up what is comfortable and familiar, becoming strangers in this world, and making Jesus alone our security, our inheritance, our home.
